What is Microblading?

Microblading is a semi-permanent eyebrow procedure that is carried out by a trained and certified specialist using a specialized disposable manual hand-tool which is used to create natural looking eyebrows. The pigment deposited into the upper layer of skin, called the dermis.  This allows your specialist to create fine, crisp hair strokes which look like natural eyebrow hairs.

How does it differ from semi permanent tattooing?

Microblading differs from conventional tattooing by the fact that it is a manual procedure. When using a manual tool versus the traditional tattoo coil machine, the color is deposited closer to the surface, leaving very fine, crisp hair strokes without spilling under the skin.

Who is a candidate for Microblading?

Like all semi-permanent makeup procedures it is the responsibility of the specialist to ensure that there are no contraindications to these treatments. If you have a medical condition, your medical doctor will be consulted, prior to treatment, to clarify if you are a candidate. (A Doctor’s approval/note may be required.)

How long does the pigmentation last?

The results can last anywhere from one to two years, depending on many factors such as: the individual’s lifestyle, skin type, sun exposure, chemicals contained in skin care products and other environmental elements. Over time, as the intensity of the color diminishes, touch-ups may be required. The desired results can last up to 18 months before a touch up is needed.

Does Microblading hurt?

Like all semi-permanent cosmetic procedures, microblading does involve topical anesthetic. The anesthetic may be reapplied throughout the procedure, making it relatively painless.

How much does it cost?

Microblading starts at $350 which includes the consultation, initial procedure, 1 follow up appointment (for touch ups) and an after care package.

Prior to your initial microblading procedure, please be advised of the following…

Your specialist will carry out a Symmetry Assessment. This is to design your brows to the desired shape, by following your natural eyebrow contour.  At this time, your color will be selected and numbing agents will be applied.

The realistic goal is not to create perfect symmetry, but to enhance your existing facial features.

Remember –eyebrows are not twins, they are sisters!
